The EWP is funded in its two years initial phase by the Royal Embassy of the Netherlands. 

An endowment fund will be established in order to sustain the EWP.  Donors and funding agencies are encouraged to contribute to the core operation of the EWP through the endowment fund. 

A trust fund will also be established to help provide clean water and sanitation to the poor. 

The sponsors are granted status according to their type of funding.  Sponsors who fund the Partnership for its establishment (i.e. during its initial phase) will be given a founding sponsor status.  Sponsors who will contribute to the endowment fund of the Partnership will be given an EWP core-sponsor status. 

Those who will sponsor certain activities will be given activity-main sponsor or co-sponsor status. 

Recognition will be given to sponsors through brochures, newsletters, website, awareness publications, etc.
